Seed one term. Get the field around it.

Type a keyword, an app name, or paste a store URL. It expands through store autocomplete into everything adjacent, then scores each one from the live result page: how much demand there is, how hard the top ten are to displace, and what's left over for you. Your own rank fills in once your app is set.

Keep a list per app. Watch it move.

Saved keywords live under the app they belong to, so the rank column always means one thing. History is a plot of the days a reading was actually taken — if nothing was measured on a Tuesday, the line says so instead of inventing a point. Change is computed between two real readings.

Write the listing that covers the list.

Optimize reads your live metadata, then proposes a title, subtitle and keyword field measured against the keywords you actually kept — counted in the characters each store really gives you. It shows what the current listing reaches and what the proposal reaches, scored the same way, so the improvement is a number rather than an opinion.

Where the numbers come from

Most ASO tools hand you three digits and no provenance. Here is exactly how each column is produced, including where it's an estimate — because a number you can't audit is worth less than one you can.

Popularity

Apple's own figure where it exists

On the App Store, popularity comes from Apple Search Ads where Apple publishes a volume for the term. Where it doesn't — and always on Google Play, which publishes nothing — it's modelled from autocomplete position and result depth.

Modelled values are marked ~ in the table. Every time. We would rather show you the seam than paste over it.

Difficulty

Computed from who's actually there

The live top results for the term are fetched and scored on the things that make a slot hard to take: rating count, how well each app's own metadata matches the term, and how entrenched the leaders are.

Opportunity is popularity discounted by that difficulty — the share of the demand you could realistically win. It highlights from 55 up, where a term earns a title or subtitle slot.

Readings, on the days they happened

Your rank is found by running the search and locating your app in the results, in the storefront you selected. It is not modelled and not interpolated.

History plots those readings on their real dates. If a week went unmeasured, the chart shows a gap rather than a smooth line through a place nobody looked.

FAQ

The questions people actually ask

Where does the data come from? Is it scraped?

Popularity on the App Store comes from Apple Search Ads, which publishes a search-volume figure for many terms. Difficulty and rank are computed from the live search results the stores return for your query, in the storefront you chose.

Nothing comes from a third-party panel or a licensed dataset, which is why the numbers move when the store moves rather than when a vendor refreshes a file.

What does the ~ next to a popularity number mean?

That the figure is modelled rather than published. It appears on every Google Play term, because Google publishes no volume at all, and on App Store terms where Apple doesn't return one. The model uses autocomplete position and result depth. We mark it every time instead of quietly blending it in with the real ones.

How is this different from the big ASO suites?

Scope and price, mostly. Those are suites — attribution, reviews, ad monitoring, competitor intelligence — and they start well above this and climb steeply. This does keyword research, rank tracking and metadata, and costs $12.99.

The other difference is what happens to gaps in the data. Larger tools interpolate a smooth history because it demos better. This plots the days a reading was taken and leaves the rest blank.

How often is rank measured?

Automatically on a regular cycle for every keyword on your lists, plus on demand whenever you open the tool and ask. Each reading is stamped with the date it was taken, and that's the date it appears on in history.

Can I use it for a client's app, or with a team?

Yes. Paid accounts get team workspaces — shared apps, keyword lists and competitor watchlists, with invites by email. Agencies typically keep one workspace per client.

Can I export what I've measured?

Yes — keywords, scores and full rank history export to CSV at any time, and the whole workspace can be downloaded as JSON. Nothing you measure is locked in.
