ASOTool is the keyword research tool at asotool.dev. This page says what we collect when you use it, and what we do with it.
Account
When you create an account we store your email, your name, and a hashed password. Onboarding answers (who you are, which stores you care about, how many apps) are stored with the account. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not store the password itself.
Feedback
If you send feedback from the product, we store the message with the email on the account so we can read it and follow up.
Workspace data
The product’s purpose is to keep your research: apps you add, keyword lists, ranks, history, competitor watchlists, and metadata drafts. That data lives in your account (or a team workspace you join) so it is there when you come back. We use it only to run the tool for you.
Store requests
Keyword searches ask public App Store and Google Play endpoints, and, when connected, Apple’s Ads Platform API. Those requests carry the search term and storefront — not your email. Responses may be cached so repeat lookups are not sent again.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives the email on the account, a billing address, and payment details. We store Stripe’s customer and subscription ids on the account so the product knows whether it is paid, past due or cancelled. We do not see or store card numbers.
Advertising and analytics
If you arrive from an advertisement, a Meta Pixel on this site may record that the page was viewed and, if you create an account or subscribe, that registration or purchase completed. That helps us measure ads. Google Analytics records visits so we can see how the site is used. These are only active when those tools are turned on. Meta’s and Google’s own policies apply to data they receive.
Logs
The server may keep short-lived request logs, including IP address, to rate-limit abuse and debug failures. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use workspace contents to train models for anyone else.
Teams
If you create or join a team, members of that workspace can see the apps, keywords and readings in it. Leave the team and you lose that access. Your personal workspace stays yours.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and workspace data while the account exists. Expired sessions and unused invites are dropped automatically. To delete an account and its data, email [email protected] from the address on the account.
